Message it was just yesterday evening that I found the most difficult thing on this car (in my limited experience) was removing a "never-been-removed-before" motherfracking shift knob en route to installing bronze shifter bushings. I swear, my whole damn body is sore from it.

Of course, after getting everything back together tonight, I'm contemplating throwing a tiny bit of blue threadlocker back on there to keep it in place. We'll see after a little time if it loosens too often for my liking.

With all that - any of y'all have any opinion on the DIY short-throw mod of grinding and "raising" the pivot ball? Seems simple enough, but wondering if any of you think it's worth it or have any other recommendations/tips.
